Dr. Vidhya — Occupational Therapist & Founder of Cuddle Centre for Occupational therapy and author Speech Elicitation Programme (SEP©).
I’m an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience in early intervention, pediatrics, sensory integration, and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.
I hold my OTR (USA) credential and a Master of Occupational Therapy (M.O.Th.) from K.E.M. Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai. I also earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, which lets me bring a mental-health lens into my OT practice so I can care for the whole child, not just a set of symptoms.
I stay active in research and academic work because I believe therapy should be built on evidence, not guesswork. Most of my work is focused on one question: how can occupational therapy principles help a child find their speech?
That question led me to develop the Speech Elicitation Programme (SEP©) — my approach to facilitating speech development through interdisciplinary principles. It’s also why I founded the Cuddle Centre for Occupational therapy, where I lead a team dedicated to comprehensive rehabilitation and child development.
